It works so well I'm buying another one for connecting my media systems together (Blu-Ray player, Plasma TV and Gaming console). I needed to connect a couple of PCs in my home office into one wall outlet, this sure did the trick. Simple, easy to connect, just power it up, connect the cables and you are off and running. Very small footprint, no noticeable heat generated, dark enough color to blend into the background. Highly recommend it.
This switch is small, fast, easy to set-up, easy to use, and works like a charm right out of the box. I have been using it for almost 5 months now and haven't had a moments problem. It is the definition of "Plug-and-play." Plug it in. Hook up your cables, and you're ready to go. It's reliable. I highly recommend it.
Bought it primarily to connect 2 PCs and NAS, but also connecting Internet Router and Xbox 360.Profs:* Small* Cool (temperature)* Metal case (asking why this is prof. Up to 60% power saving (as declared on the box). Because not smelly plastic like most others. And of course metal provides extra shielding)* Excellent quality* Perfectly works on 1 Gigabit speed* Package also contains 4 rubber legs and screws for on wall mounting (if needed)* Green. Of course haven't checked by myself. :-)Cons:None so far
I bought this along with a larger NetGear switch. This worked great for about 6-months, then it just stopped working. The other switch is still working for now.
Mine comes unplugged/loose every so often from being moved around. I bought this to use on my workbench, and it's done it's job. The power connection seems like the weak point of an otherwise sturdy design. Wouldn't be an issue if it was screwed to a wall in a closet. I do like the port lights right on the ports, as it's easy to interpret.
